IGUS

PLASTIC FOR LONGER LIFE® Günter Blase began igus® back on 15th October 1964 in a double garage in Cologne. For the first 20 years, the company worked as a supplier of complex technical polymer components. However, in 1983 Frank Blase established reinforced plastic Energy Chain Systems® and injection molded polymer bearings as two distinct product groups and set up a network of sales engineers. These seemingly unrelated products are linked together through the belief in making functionally advanced, yet affordable polymer components and assemblies. Between 1985 and 2016, igus® grew from 40 to more than 2,950 employees distributed between the head office in Germany and 35 subsidiary companies around the world. igus® also has representative partners in more than 35 other countries. igus® will continue to invest in expansion in the coming years, thanks to the opportunities for growth provided by modern materials.

Triflex R®

Multi-axis, Three-dimensional cable carriers for Robots

E-chain®

Plastic e-chain® cable carriers are more durable and longer lasting than the plastic carriers you’re used to.

Chainflex®

As experts in the cable carrier and industrial cable industry, we know how important cables in energy chains are, especially where continuous movement under extreme conditions is concerned.

Iglide®

Plastic bushings online shop - self-lubricating plain bearing technology Change now and save up to 40% over bronze bearings

Igubal®

Bearing technology without lubrication

IGlide® Plastics as Bar Stock

igus® plastic bar stock makes it possible to cost-effectively produce components in motion.

Drylin® linear technology

Maintenance-free linear plain bearings ,dry operation and dirt resistance

IGlide® PRT Slewing Rings

IGlide® PRT slewing rings use self-lubricating, low-friction sliding elements in place of ball bearings. They represent a step forward in slewing ring bearing technology. The range of igus® PRT polymer slewing ring bearings covers a wide spectrum of applications.

Xiros® Plastic Ball Bearing

Xiros® plastic ball bearings are often a better alternative to ball bearings made of metal, because they are lighter and more affordable and at the same time have a long service life. Thanks to their self-lubricating and maintenance-free operation, they can be successfully used in numerous applications. In many non-standard solutions, metal ball bearings run up against their limits and are replaced by ball bearings made of plastic.

Ball Bearing

Single-row deep groove ball bearings are polymer ball bearings based on DIN 625. They are maintenance-free, self-lubricating and consist of an outer and an inner race, a cage and rolling elements, the balls, which are either made of glass, stainless steel or plastics. Their material properties are engineered to adapt to a variety of conditions, such as low and high temperatures or speeds, weight restrictions or specific hygienic requirements as in food processing applications.

Mounting Bracket

Pivoting mounting brackets are used in most applications. This means that a pivoting connection exists between the mounting bracket and the first chain link.

Separator

In electrical engineering, strain relief systems are considered a form of mechanical protection for flexible cables such as control cables or network cables. It can consist of standard elements or it can be custom made. For many applications, our standard C-profiles program with space-saving mounting brackets and chainfix clamps can be used. We also offer a simple strain relief solution using tiewrap plates and cable ties.

Drylin® Steel Shaft

Low-priced standard, High load capacity, Ideal for dry environments, Hard chrome-plated also available, Lower coefficient of friction against plastic bearings

Drylin® Linear Floating

In a comprehensive modular system, the drylin® W profile guides offer the largest product diversity within the drylin® family. The series of linear profile guides combines the modular advantages of other drylin® type series, which allows very easy assembly while maximising installation space utilisation.

Bus Cable

Chainflex® Bus Cables are specially developed and tested for continuous use in e-chain® applications. Depending on the outer jacket material and the design principle, the bus cables are designed for different mechanical requirements and media resistance.

E-chain® KMA Bracket Set

Plastic E-Chain® KMA Bracket Cable Carriers are more durable and longer lasting than the plastic carriers you’re used to.

Guide Troughs

Guide troughs are used in long travels according to chain type from 16–39.4 ft. They support the smooth low-friction operation of the igus® e-chain® and e-tubes.

Flange Bearing

Flange bearings consist of a plain bearing within a mountable housing unit, which provides stable and secure positioning while still allowing the bearing unit inside to rotate freely.

E-Tube®

In harsh environments, cables must be protected from dust, debris, dirt and other external influences. With our fully enclosed e-tube series, we offer the best protection for cables.

Tiewrap Clamp

Strain reliefs can consist of standard elements or can be custom made. For most applications, our standard profile rail program with mounting brackets and space-saving Chainfix clamps can be used.
